California Instruments Corporation announces the addition of the IEC61000-4-13 upgrade for the iX and MX power sources.

This option permits household appliances to be tested for harmonics and inter-harmonics immunity, as is required per EN60335-1.

While this test option has been offered on new power sources for several years now, a controller upgrade makes it possible to add the capability to existing power sources. In addition to inter-harmonics, the iX and MX power sources also support arbitrary waveforms and harmonic disturbance testing, including the 180 degree phase shift for harmonic orders up to H-9 as specified in Clause 5 of the IEC61000-4-13 EMC standard.
